I have been told that Olive Garden has a gluten free pasta dish. Wish there were more options...

If you do come back to town, it would absolutely be worth your while to head out to Jenny Mae's G Free bakery for some bread products to take home with you. She makes donuts and pretty fabulous desserts as well.

Before I found out my son and I have Celiac my husband and I went to Tony's and loved it. Glad to know it is still a safe option!

I would strongly recommend a fine meal at Tony's Steak House (221 West Yakima Avenue) they were very accommodating to my gluten/soy allergies. They will work hard to accommodate any other allergies you have as well. I find the Outback in Yakima to be substandard for the chain (even if they do offer gluten free menu), and I'd rather pay a couple dollars more and eat at a restaurant of Tony's caliber. The experience was one of the best that I've had since my diagnosis and right up there with any I've had in my life. I was so impressed I ate there every night with my wife. The ambience is wonderful, the staff warm and engaging. The first night there I sat above the kitchen (you can see the kitchen in full progress) and noticed the measures they take to avoid cross contamination and was beyond impressed and I knew that I didn't have to fight the anxiety of whether I was going to get glutenized or not. I can't put a price on eating out and eating out safely so that is why I am compelled to recommend this establishment to all Gluten Sensitive travelers to Yakima...if only they were open for breakfast too :)
I can't wait to head back there in 2 weeks...I can smell the apple wood scent in my memory as I type.

Thanks for this list... I will now be able to find bakeries that are gluten free. This information is very helpful especially for mothers who want to keep their family healthy.
